Congressman Robert Wexler Visits Virtual Imaging
|
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – Congressman Wexler (D-FL) toured the facilities at Virtual Imaging Inc., on Monday August 5, 2008. The congressman’s visit was sparked by the continued efforts of Virtual Imaging in providing and developing imaging solutions and technologies ready for combat field situations.
On the tour, Wexler viewed several radiology devices constructed for field deployable situations, including the RadPRO® FDDRS, RadPRO® 4kW “Dragon,” and other future concept solutions still in development. Each system focuses on portable, lightweight designs packed for quick and easy field deployment. Flexibility meets function as each system is complimented with the Canon CXDI-50 Series digital flat panel technology which provides immediate image results seconds after exposure and necessary under the extreme circumstances experienced in the field.
After touring and learning about Virtual Imaging’s field deployable equipment, Wexler spoke directly to the employees of Virtual Imaging in a town hall style setting. The congressman fielded questions from the employees on subjects varying from the economy, gas prices to education and the election.
Congressman Wexler represents the 19th district of Florida, which includes Deerfield Beach, and sits on the Foreign Affairs, and Judiciary and Financial Services committees. Wexler complimented the success of Virtual Imaging in the midst of economic uncertainty and supported the efforts in providing proven solutions for our troops in the field.
Virtual Imaging currently works with several Department of Defense Agencies (i.e Pentagon Health Clinic), US Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC) with Cooperative agreements with DOD Medical Centers, CONUS and OCONUS for future integration within Fixed Facility and Combat area Medical Operations.
