Virtual Imaging Earns FDA Clearance for Latest Digital Acquisition System – FluoroPro |
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – Virtual Imaging, Inc. received clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of its new high resolution digital acquisition system – FluoroPro. This system is a new concept in digital imaging for today’s Radiographic and Fluoroscopic (RF) systems, providing a flexible and inexpensive solution without sacrificing features and performance.
In an era of reductions in reimbursement rates, FluoroPro provides a solution for a high performance digital acquisition system; it is affordable, straightforward and effortless to install and maintain. The system consists of a High Resolution CCD camera, an image processor and interface kit. The camera is specifically designed for Fluoroscopic Imaging and can be integrated to any image intensifier to provide excellent image quality in low light conditions.
Similar systems are bound by rigid, inflexible software and hardware standards. FluoroPro breaks away from these limits with a streamlined, software-only solution, which evolves through simple software upgrades and eliminates the cost of proprietary image processing hardware. The system leverages the processing power and standard construction of today's PC computers; as PC models and configurations change, there is no effect on the FluoroPro system.
FluoroPro can replace conventional spot film techniques. Through a fully customizable GUI, FluoroPro offers the ability to view digital fluoroscopic images immediately, providing excellent image quality.
FluoroPro Digital Imaging can be integrated into any new or existing RF room. The system is fully DICOM 3.0 compliant, with worklist, print, send, write to CDR/DVD-R in DICOM format, and media read/write.
